
ABOUT KRISTEN MIRAND

Kristen Mirand is a recent graduate of Ithaca College’s Roy H. Park School of Communications. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and a minor in sociology.
As a budding journalist, passionate about the news, Kristen was a member of Ithaca College Television, ICTV, as a host and producer for ICTV Reports, a 30-minute newsmagazine show. She was also an anchor for ICTV’s Newswatch, a live newscast airing weekly. Since her first semester, she was a member of the school’s television station working as an assistant producer, producer, reporter and anchor.
In February, she spent 10 days with CNN in Manchester, New Hampshire, assisting the team with CNN's Town Halls and primary coverage. In 2019, she completed an internship with ABC News in Los Angeles where she helped produce live shots and assist reporters on stories. She also attended and worked the 91st Academy Awards. After, she completed an internship with NBC Nightly News in New York City. She also interned with WIVB and WSYR. Through Ithaca College’s journalism department, she also had the opportunity to cover March For Our Lives with NBC & MSNBC in Washington D.C., and travel to Memphis, Tennessee, to cover the 50th Anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination.
Kristen is excited to be a journalist in today’s world. She loves to travel and is passionate about her hometown Buffalo, New York and the Buffalo Bills!
